Undergraduate Archaeology Research Opportunity

Gain hands-on experience in archaeological lab techniques and participate in several on-going research projects.  Fall quarter lab activities will include cleaning and cataloging samples and artifacts collected from northern Alaskan archaeological sites, carrying out preliminary analysis on sediment samples, and preparing samples for radiocarbon dating.  Students will learn more about standard lab practices in archaeology and improve their ability to identify and analyze different types of archaeological materials (e.g. ceramic, lithic, faunal, sediment, etc.).

1-2 undergraduate research positions open for fall quarter.  Completion of Anth 350 is required.
