Peace Corps Opportunities for Anthropology Students

Interested in living and working abroad? The Peace Corps is a wonderful opportunity for motivated Anthropology students to immerse themselves in another culture and to work side by side with local leaders to tackle the most pressing challenges of our generation. Over the course of two years, Peace Corps Volunteers live and work at a grassroots level, earn career and leadership experience, learn (or become proficient in) another language and have meaningful contact with other cultures.
For students who are interested in applying or want to learn more about the Peace Corps in general, please contact Portland State Campus Representative Lauren Hughey at (503)725-3015 or peacecorps@pdx.edu to set up a time to meet. Office hours are Thursdays from 12-3pm in the Career Center, which is the fourth floor of University Services Building. Lauren can answer your questions, share her experiences about serving as a Health Volunteer in Guyana, and provide tips and support for those who want to apply.
Additionally, there are opportunities to learn more at upcoming events. Check out our Facebook and the attached flyer to learn more.
