From Pacific University’s Center for Gender Equity: Through performance, poetry, and critical dialogue KAVI ADE & VISION of the Mending Masculinity tour cultivate a conversation that encompasses all forms of masculinity, the performance of gender, with poems focusing on gender, sexuality, multicultural identity, race, violence, sexual assault, and more.
Their art aims to task men of all journeys to unpack, heal, and create a path to whole masculinities. Collectively the duo has toured over 25 international cities and over 70 colleges and universities performing poetry on varying identities, community, and artistic expression. Both utilize art in pursuit of social, economic, racial, and gender justice.
This event will be hosted at the La Hacienda Ballroom, 2020 Main Street, Forest Grove, OR.  Admission is a $10.  If you are interested in participating in the slam poetry contest portion, please email: araeproductions@pacificu.edu.
